  The city looked futuristic, the city had propellers to keep it afloat. The view was amazing from the gate, the clouds made it look dreamy. It could be anyone's wonderland.

  We landed on the city. The floor felt as stable as the ground was. I didn't feel wobbly there. It was as if I was standing on real land.

  "That's the temple, let's head there!" said Sora, "Ok" I replied. We walked towards the temple.

  Along the way, we saw the old houses and shops. We could even see the old palace. It was quite grand.

  We arrived at the temple door. The temple had white walls and golden colored statues. The statues were of birds. The door was made of wood and covered in some golden decorations.

  The door suddenly opened and sucked us in.

  "Waaaah!"

  The door closed behind us. I opened my eyes and saw a pedestal. There were three places, two of them had something on top. The one in the middle was empty. The one on my left had a small fire like statue on it while the one on the right had one of ice.

  "You two dared to come this far... Impressive. But could you deal with me?"

  "Its the voice of the wizard!" said Sora. We drew out our swords.

  The wizard appeared in front of the pedestal. He wore a mask. He drew out his his sword, it seemed like it was made of sharpened bones.

  "Get ready to face the wrath of Arsceil!"

  He threw his sword at us. We dodged it. He suddenly disappeared.

  "Huh?"

  He appeared behind me. "Cel!" shouted Sora. He tried to hit me but I reacted fast enough to dodge it. I turned and tried to hit him, he blocked it with his sword.

  Sora jumped high and shot light beams at him. I jumped back, the attack hit him a bit. I came in to attack with "Sonic Boom". He got blown away.

  He got up and flew up. He shot a ball of darkness at me. I hit the ball but it bounced back at him. He hit it back, Sora jumped in and did the same.

  He hit the ball at us harder than before. I flew at it at high speed and did "Megaton Blast" to hit the ball. The ball went so fast that it ended up hitting Arsceil.

  He fell to the ground. I dived in with "Final Blow" to end it.

  "Hmph. Not bad, kid. But you just defeated a mere phantom of me. You may take the crystal and use it in front of the castle to bring down the barrier. Hope to see you soon. And by the way, you're quite skilled with my old sword" said Arsceil's voice.

  A small Wing statue appeared on the pedestal, the statue lit up. A crystal appeared in front of the pedestal. I went to take it. "So, we will use it on the barrier?" asked Sora, "Yea, we should try it out. Let's go home" I said.

  "K, let's go home! I'll cook some victory meal for dinner!"

  "Cool!"

  We went back home. We planned to use the crystal on the castle the next day.

  Chapter 17: Preparation

  It was early in the morning, I woke up. I thought that I should get ready for what is about to come. I got out of bed and did some stretches.

  "You're up early"

  "Huh?"

  Sora was awake. She seemed sleepy and mostly. "I know that today is an important day... But don't get yourself overworked" said Sora. "I just felt like it" I replied, "I know that you want to protect me... But I'll be fine. I won't disappear suddenly" Sora assured.

  I just smiled but it was fake. I knew that she could disappear from me anytime, I feared that. I just continued with my stretches.

  She eventually got up and said "I wanna take a bath. I'll cook breakfast after that... Yaawn*", "K" I replied.

  We eventually ate breakfast after taking a bath and cooking it.

  "Thanks for the meal!"

  Her meals were something that I couldn't forget about. The time I spent with her was precious, every little moment.

  "So, your mother is at home, right? Why wouldn't you visit her?" Sora asked, "I planned to come back home after I became a knight, but Arsceil came in on my first day. I'm planning on coming for a visit after all this is over" I said. "Oh, ok then. Don't worry, it'll be over soon" said Sora. "I hope it does" I thought.

  We got dressed after eating breakfast. I was getting dressed in the bathroom. Sora was getting dressed in our room.

  "Stop it, Cel Alt. Stop thinking like its all gonna end today. Snap out of it!" I thought shaking my head. I got out of the bathroom and went to sharpen my swords.

  When I was sharpening my swords outside the house, Sora came and said "Oh, there you are! You sure are up for today!", "Haha, I just felt like it. It felt like I should do it. I'm hoping for best!" I replied. "That's the spirit, Cel! I'm going in to clean up. See you soon!" said Sora.

  "K!" I said as she closed the door. "I want all this to end already. I just wanted to live in a peaceful world where I wouldn't have any worries such as an attack, an evil wizard or something else. I want it to be a life where I can be with just Sora, together" I thought.

  I finished sharpening my swords and decided to enter the house.

  Chapter 18: Castle

  "Need help?" I asked Sora as I entered the house. "Oh, yea. You could help with sweeping the floor" said Sora. "On to it!" I replied as I was taking a broom and started to sweep the floor in the dining room.

  After cleaning up, we went to equip some potions such as the healing potion, magic potion, double action action and some others. The potion were in small bottles. Those bottles can be put inside a small pouch on my belt.

  Sora only had one scabbard while I had two because of having two swords, meaning that she could carry more than me.

  After preparing everything, we decided to go to the castle. The villagers gave us a farewell.

  "Have a safe trip. May you two come home safely" said Phoss. "We will!" Sora replied.

  "Bye!"

  We eventually arrived at the castle. "It has been a while since we've come here" said Sora, "I know right. We thought that it was dangerous here. And there was no use coming here anyway thanks to this barrier" I said.

  "Well, its time to say good bye to this barrier" I said. I took out the crystal and threw it at the barrier.

  "Piiing!"

  The barrier shattered into dark shrapnel. "Finally" I thought. "Let's go" I said walking through the gate, Sora followed.

  We went inside the castle, we saw that everyone was turned into stone. "I feel sorry for them" said Sora. I just nodded. We then went upstairs.

  We saw that the door to the upper floors was blocked. There was a wire connected to it, I decided to follow where it goes.

  It went downstairs towards the dungeon, there was an armored skeleton there. It tried to attack us.

  I did "Slice" to cut the skeleton. It didn't die, I used the Sword of Demise and it shattered. "Easy enough, for now" I said.

  The room lit up. "The curse on the bottom portion of the castle must be broken" I said.

  "Huh?"

  "What?"

  We went upstairs and saw everyone who was frozen moving again. A soldier walked towards us and said "Your Highness! The castle was attacked!", "I know that. Please get everyone alive out of here immediately!" said Sora. "Will do, Your Highness!" replied the soldier.

  "Let's head up" I suggested, "Ok, let's go" said Sora. We walked upstairs to the door leading to the upper floors.

  The door was unblocked. We were able to open it now. We went in front of the door, I put my hand on the door knob and asked "Are you ready?", she nodded with a "Mmm". "Let's get in!"

  Chapter 19: Lair

  "Creeak Bang!"

  The door was opened. Inside, I saw another door but it was locked. There was a notice on the wall. It wrote:

  "To open this door. You must activate the two switches on each path"

  There were two paths. Each one of them had a switch. "I'll take the one on the left" I said, "K, I'll take this one then" said Sora. We entered our own paths alone.

  My path was dark. I couldn't see in my path.

  "Hiiiiss"

  I heard the sound, I did "Heat Blast". The room lit up a bit. The
blast had hit some of them. I then did "Sonic Boom" while running through them. I opened the door at the end.

  Inside was an armored humanoid. It walked slowly. It had a giant sword too. Because of its speed, I did "Speed Strafe" to hit it from multiple angles, multiple times.

  I did a jump attack to deal more damage. The enemy did a spin attack, I did a backflip to dodge it. I then did "Grand Spin" to end him.

  The switch appeared on the wall. I switched it on. After switching it on, I ran back to the meeting point.

  When I arrived, so did Sora. "Mine was easy. It was just puzzles!" said Sora, "Lucky you, I had to fight an armored guy" I said.

  The door was open, we went up the stairs through the door to the next floor. On the next floor, we saw someone important sitting there.

  The king was on his throne. Still frozen though. When we tried to approach him, the door closed behind us and a Dark Guardian appeared.

  We drew out our swords and charged in. The enemy had a longsword. It was fully armored, the face couldn't be seen. Well, if it even had a face.

  Sora did "Whirlwind" while shooting beams at it. She dodged when it tried to attack, I came in to switch. I did "Sonic Boom" to hit it in the torso. It got knocked away a bit.

  Sora flew up and did "Eagle Dive" at the enemy. The enemy got knocked down. I flew up and did "Final Blow".

  It bursted into pieces. Smoke was emitting from the king. A burst of smoke appeared revealing a living breathing king. "Your Majesty!"

  "Dad!"

  Sora came in for a hug. "You've done well, you two. I'm proud of you two" said the King. "Thank you" I said. "No, thank you"

  Chapter 20: Cielo

  The king thanked me for helping Sora in saving the kingdom and the king himself. I felt happy for myself but I knew it isn't over yet.

  "Ohoho! What a sweet reunion with Your Maaajestyyy! I've been waiting for you two to come and face me! Now then... Please come here! To my lair! We'll settle things here!" said Arsceil's voice out of nowhere.

  "Is that... Arsceil? Our royal wizard?" asked the king. "Yes, he was the one who turned you to stone" I explained. "Oh. I didn't get to clearly see who did it. But why is he doing all this?" asked the king. "Its because he's part of the Sylus cult, they wanted to rule the world" said Sora.

  "Let's get going! We have to fight Arsceil now!" I said, "Yes! Let's go!" said Sora. "Be careful and good luck you two!" said the king. "K!" said Sora.

  We climbed up the winding staircase. The further we step the more evil energy I felt. The energy was thick, it was powerful too.

  We eventually reach the top. There was a door leading to Arsceil's lair. The energy was very strong there. I felt like I was drowning in it.

  "Ready?" I asked, "Yup" said Sora. I put my hand on the door knob. I opened the door.

  We saw Arsceil waiting there. He had a smirk on his face. He has laughing a little too. The room was quite big. The walls were white and gold in color. It had a chandelier on top, it looked like it was made of gold.

  "It seems like you two are ready to die... The fine blade I have here is Sylus's Blade. This blade shall be used to defeat you two, I mean it. Both of you. I will fight both of you at once!" said Arsceil.

  He drew out the blade. We did too. He flew towards us, we did "Thunderclap" together. It pushed him away. I used "Hurricane", he was blocking. He got pushed backwards.

  Sora flew up and dived in with "Eagle Dive", Arsceil used magic to blow her away. He did "Infinity", an extremely rare ability. Almost no one knows how to do it.

  "Ahhhh!!!"

  We got pushed away quite far. I charged back at him with "Sonic Boom", he tried blocking it. We were pushing each other, he was stronger. He pushed me away.

  Sora jumped in with shooting light beams. It got blocked. I charged in again, this time I'll show mine.

  "Light vs Dark"

  "Gaaaah!!!!!"

  Arsceil got blasted to the other side of the room. The wall was full of cracks.

  I did "Light vs Dark" on him, an ability that only I knew how to do. It creates an explosion powerful enough to knock everyone around a far distance. The damage from a direct hit would be fatal.

  "Gahhh... What was that?! Urgghh!!! Sifrius!!!" said Arsceil. He pointed at Sora.

  "Ahhhh!!!"

  She got sealed in a crystal. "Cel!!!" she called, "Sora!!!" I called back. "You're coming with me, Sora" said Arsceil as he jumped through the portal behind the curtain.

  "Sora!!!"

  "This is bad!" I thought. I jumped through the portal not knowing what to expect.

  End of Arc 1: Cielo

  Thanks for reading the first Arc of "Burst! -Sword to the Skies"! I had a lot of fun writing this. It was exciting!

  The next Arc continues where this Arc ended. The next Arc is set in another world.

  I have 4 more Arcs planned. I will, of course, add more as I get some ideas.

  I really like this story, I didn't know why. I just like it. The story is interesting to me. I also have a lot of freedom. Although I might not be that good at writing action scenes, I might excel in other parts.

  Clarification: the sword skills can only be used when the user has enough energy to utilize it.

  Arc 2: Sylus

  I've decided to start writing the second Arc. I'm name it Sylus because this Arc is set in Ayrus, the world of the Sylus Cult.

  This Arc starts exactly where Arc 1 ended. The part where Cel goes through the portal.

  I'm not sure about the length of this Arc but I know that I will write at least 10. I have a tendency to write more than that though.

  I am hoping to add more mid air combat in this. I'll just see what I can do now. The duel wielding ability won't be used as much in this Arc.

  Sylus 1: Ayrus

  I was running... I was shouting...

  "Sora!!! Sora...!!!"

  It was quiet. I was panting, still shouting but no one answered.

  "Sora... Huff... Sora..."

  I opened my eyes. A black figure stood in front of me.

  "Oof..."

  It hit me to the side. I fell...

  "Sora..."

  I couldn't feel the ground. There was no ground beneath me. I was falling...

  .......

  I opened my eyes. I saw an unfamiliar ceiling above me. It was made of wood.

  "Oh, you're awake"

  I heard an unfamiliar voice. I looked around and saw a young lady entering the room from another room.

  She had long brown hair tied into a ponytail and wore blue clothes. It was a two piece, her stomach was visible. Her pants were to her knees.

  "Where am I?"

  "You're at my home. I found you in the forest. I heard a strange sound, so I went to check it out. I saw you lying on the ground, so I brought you here"

  "What world am I in?"

  "Ayrus, world of the Sylus cult"

  "Sylus cult?" I said in shock. I sat up.

  "But I'm not a part of them! I'm actually a rebel... I would get caught if they found me" she said in reflex because I sat up.

  "Did you come from another world? Just asking" she asked. "I'm from Cielo. I entered a portal to this world because I was chasing someone" I replied. "Are you a knight?" she asked, "Yes, I'm the princess's personal knight" I replied. "Wow"

  "Oh! I forgot to introduce myself! I'm Spica, and you are?" she introduced herself, "I'm Cel Alt, Princess Sora's knight from the kingdom of Cielo" I introduced.

  I saw my jacket, my swords and my boots on the desk next to me. I got up and started to gear up.

  "Uh, where are you going? You just got up! I'll follow you if you wanna go out!"

  "No need for that, I can manage. I need to explore this world. I have to save my princess"

  "What?! Umm, where do you want to go? Town?"

  "I don't kno
